The Woman Hood organised an event in Memorial of Mrs Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo popularly called HID, naming the event “The HID AWOLOWO WOMAN HOOD CELEBRATION”.These is to celebrate the true woman hood of Madam HID Awolowo whom she was when she was alive. It was held on Monday, 23rd November, 2015, in a colourful mood at her Ikenne home.
In Attendance were the immediate family,extended family members,First Ladies from the East, West, South and North Of Nigeria, Wife’s Of Oba s, President of Wimbz, Women Arise, Zonta Int, Remo Diocesian Women Group, YMCA, Women In -Politics,International women Society,Market Women, FADAN President and Members Of FADAN and well wishers.Everyone present at the occasion were all highly honoured. FADAN Family dressed Uniformly gaily for the occasion with DaViva Fabrics, appreciations to DaViva.
At the ceremony, National President FADAN, Mrs Funmi Ajila Ladipo ,in her speech said,”Mama Awolowo was an elegant, hard-working, textile merchant, above all decently dressed and a pace setter during her own time while she was alive.She patronized locally made fabrics ,she was a true designer and a fashionister from the look of her wardrobe”.The National President , Mrs Funmi Ajila Ladipo, presented the family an award on behalf of FADAN with Mrs Folawiyo “Life Patron”.The comperes were Adesuwa Oyenukwe and so on,.
